Our Mission

  • To establish a breast cancer foundation in memory of Marlene van Staden;

  • To create awareness amongst medical professionals and healthy individuals of the benefits of genetic testing for BRCA genes;

  • To provide support, financial or otherwise, for breast cancer genetic testing;

  • To provide support to BRCA positive individuals for the prevention of cancer and the available treatment options;

  • To provide support to breast cancer patients during and after treatment;

  • To provide support to bereaved children and family members of victims who succumbed to breast cancer;

  • To create a multi-disciplinary team of experts to support families with inherited harmful variants of BRCA1 or BRCA2.
